Who said veggies had to be boring!? Using a dipping sauce made from pineapple, vinegar, and sugar adds a sweet and tangy flavor to your steamed veggies.

Ingredients
  • vegetables like carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, and turnips
  • ice water 1 tablespoon
  • cornstarch 1 tablespoon
  • can of pineapple chunks (1) 20 ounce
  • vinegar ¼ cup
  • sugar 1 tablespoon
  • salt 1 teaspoon
Preparation
  1. Place vegetables inside the IMUSA steamer baskets and bring 2 cups of water to boil in a wok or medium saucepan.
  2. To make dipping sauce, in a small bowl or cup add ice water and cornstarch and mix until fully dissolved. Set aside.
  3. Remove juice of canned pineapple, about ¾ cup, and place in a small saucepan. Reserve pineapple chunks for other use.
  4. Add vinegar, sugar and salt to saucepan and heat on medium high, whisking frequently.
  5. Once simmering, drizzle in cornstarch mixture and whisk briskly until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and pour dipping sauce in a bowl.
  6. To steam the vegetables, place steamer baskets with veggies on wok or saucepan and steam for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Remove immediately and serve with sweet and sour dipping sauce.

A great way to use leftover rice! Mixing with chicken, ham, eggs, and vegetables creates a complete Asian-Inspired meal! This recipe comes with an additional recipe for Shrimp Sauce - that is a perfect topping to the fried rice!

Ingredients
  • cooked jasmine rice that has been cooled to room temperature 5 cups
  • peanut oil 3 tablespoons
  • eggs 2
  • sweet white onion like Vidalia ½ cup
  • scallions 3 tablespoons
  • chicken breast (a store bought rotisserie chicken breast saves time) 1
  • thick sliced deli ham ½ cup
  • soy sauce or more as needed 3 tablespoons
  • For Shrimp Sauce:
  • mayonnaise ⅓ cup
  • rice wine vinegar 2 teaspoons
  • soy sauce 1 teaspoon
  • granulated sugar pinch
  • paprika 1 teaspoon
  • garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • milk 1 tablespoon
Preparation
  1. Place IMUSA Wok on stove over medium high heat. Heat peanut oil add the scallions and onions and cook until translucent
  2. add the beaten egg until lightly scrambled followed by the chicken and ham.
  3. Add the rice breaking up with an IMUSA wooden Asian spatula and continue stirring until all the ingredients are well combined and the rice is very hot.
  4. Add the soy sauce all over the rice while stirring quickly.
  5. Serve with shrimp sauce on the side: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until very smooth. Serve with fried rice.

  • ripened avocados 3
  • ripened mango 1
  • lime juice ¼ cup
  • cilantro ½ cup
  • white onion ½ cup
  • salt 3 teaspoons
Preparation
  1. In your IMUSA Molcajete, add half of the diced mangos and mash with the pestle into a pulp.
  2. Then add one avocado and mash into a pulp with the mango.
  3. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients, including mango, and add more lime juice if needed.
  4. Fold mixture with pulp inside Molcajete and serve with tortilla chips.

  • ripened avocados 2
  • cilantro ¼ cup
  • fresh chives ¼ cup
  • juice of ½ lime
  • Bottled Chipotle Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)
  • small red radishes 3
  • kosher salt or table salt, to taste
Preparation
  1. Scoop avocado flesh inside your IMUSA MOLCAJETE and add the cilantro, chopped chives, lime juice, and chipotle sauce.
  2. Gently mash with the pestle until the desired consistency is reached
  3. Fold in diced radishes and season with salt to taste

Chorizo Taquitos with Cilantro-Lime Sauce

Chorizo Taquitos with Cilantro-Lime Sauce
 
Taquitos are a Mexican dish consisting of rolled up tortillas filled with meat or cheese. The tortillas are then fried for a delicious crunch! This recipe has a citrus-flavored sauce using cilantro and lime that pairs well with the spicy chorizo filling!

Ingredients
  • medium onion ½
  • green pepper 1
  • ripe avocado 1
  • bunch fresh cilantro 1
  • juice of ½ lime
  • olive oil ½ cup
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • chorizo links (about 8 ounces) 2 to 4
  • can re-fried beans 1
  • flour tortillas 4 (8 inch)
  • PTFE Nonstick spray
Preparation
  1. Make cilantro-lime sauce by placing all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until thick and smooth. If too thick, add some water, one tablespoon at a time until it’s the right consistency. Set aside.
  2. For the taquitos, dice chorizo links and sauté in your IMUSA sauté pan on medium-high heat until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Place in a small bowl reserving oil in pan.
  3. Assemble taquitos by lightly heating up the flour tortillas in the microwave for 5-10 seconds, until soft.
  4. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of the re-fried beans throughout each tortilla all the way to the edge. This will help seal the taquitos.
  5. Evenly divide chorizo onto the center of each tortilla and roll tightly.
  6. Place seam-side-down onto the IMUSA sauté pan and cook on low heat on each side until golden brown.
  7. Spray PTFE Nonstick oil as needed to achieve crispy browned exterior.
  8. Serve immediately with cilantro-lime sauce.
