PTFE, PFA and FEP are all fluoropolymers that create a non-stick surface on the food-contact surface of cookware and bakeware products. Although inert solids, PTFE, PFA and FEP are classified as PFAS substances and must be disclosed. Given that PFAS is a broad categorization that includes thousands of fluorochemicals, we recommend visiting the below source to learn more about the different types of PFAS substances.
The California Safer Food Packaging and Cookware Act (AB 1200) requires manufacturers to disclose the presence of certain chemicals in their products. Chemicals required to be disclosed are listed on the California Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC) Candidate Chemical list. DTSC identified PFASs based on the CECBP Priority Chemicals Authoritative List found at https://biomonitoring.ca.gov/chemicals/priority-chemicals. Further information about PFASs can be found at the DTSC website.
If you have any questions about whether PFASs are contained in any specific National IMUSA product, please contact customer service at 1-800-850-2501.

Cookware Chemicals Disclosure
California Assembly Bill 1200 (“A.B. 1200”) is a law that sets forth disclosure and labelling requirements for manufacturers of cookware:
IMUSA USA LLC, a Division of Groupe SEB, always places the well-being of its customers at the heart of its concerns. Groupe SEB’s absolute priority is to produce safe and highly qualitative products to improve consumers’ daily lives. All our products comply with relevant rules established by the Federal Food and Drug Administration, including the relevant requirements of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations governing the safe use of product components in contact with food.
The following tables identify the products for which the chemical disclosure is required to comply with A.B. 1200. It also complies with Colorado House Bill 22-1345 regarding the presence of intentionally added PFAS in cookware products.
